Great Idea, Unfortunate Design Decision

Love the quick release, and it works very well. However, I just cannot understand why you would make this mount with such as lower profile than the standard mount. The rod holder now rubs the top of my truck cab, which didn't happen with the standard mount. I rigged it with some shims to get some relief, but it still hits the top of my cab. The quick release idea and mechanism get 5 stars, so if you don't have a truck with a bed rack, it's great. But the pointless decision to lower the profile makes it essentially unusable for many of us who have truck bed racks....so for me, 1 star.

Hey Michael, thanks for your feedback... to solve this issue simply flip your River Quiver and install it reels-up. We have a t-track on both sides of the extrusion so that you always have the option to install it in the best fit for your vehicle. Outstanding System

The quick release mounts are awesome! The installation is quick, easy, and intuitive. Especially so if you have experience with any type of ski or board roof rack. Installation on my 4 banger took less than 30 min and that included removing the old standard mounts. The mounts are also about two inches lower than the old standard mounts which is great for creating a little lower profile look on my truck. Wish there was spot to upload a couple pics! Make these standard for every purchase!!!
